Dha Karen Marhefka

Karen M. Marhefka is a seasoned healthcare executive with over three decades of experience in large healthcare systems. She specializes in health information management, healthcare operations leadership, and telehealth/virtual care strategy. Karen has worked with academic and non-academic, for-profit and not-for-profit, ambulatory and large group practice organizations. She is dedicated to using technology and information to enhance the patient and provider experience. Currently, she is the Deputy Chief Information Officer/Vice President of Information Technology - Medical Group at RWJBarnabas Health. She has spoken at national conferences and contributed to the curriculum at the CHIME Boot Camp. Ms. Marhefka earned a doctorate in healthcare administration from Walden University, a master's degree in healthcare administration from Worcester State University, and a bachelor's degree in health information management from East Carolina University.
