Dewayne Hankins
President of Business Operations at Portland Trail Blazers
Dewayne Hankins is the President of Business Operations and Alternate Governor for the Portland Trail Blazers and Rose Quarter. He has been with the organization for 12 seasons as of 2024-25, and is entering his third full season in his current role.12
Hankins assumed the position of President of Business Operations in November 2021, overseeing all business operations for the Trail Blazers and Rose Quarter while working closely with the General Manager and basketball team.1 He also serves as an Alternate Governor for the NBA Board of Governors.1

Prior to his current role, Hankins held several positions within the organization, including EVP & Chief Commercial Officer, SVP & Chief Marketing & Innovation Officer, and VP of Marketing & Digital.3
Before joining the Trail Blazers, Hankins worked for Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG), managing digital initiatives for their sports properties, including the LA Kings and LA Galaxy.1 He has also worked for the Minnesota Wild and Miami Marlins.3
Hankins is recognized in the sports industry for his innovative approach to digital strategy and fan engagement. He has received multiple NBA Digital Innovation Awards and was named one of the International Leaders Under 40 Class of 2018 by Leaders in Sports.13
