Devon Powers is a knowledgeable individual specializing in the study of consumer culture, focusing on cultural circulation and intermediation. With a keen interest in trends, cultural and business history, and pop music, Devon brings a unique perspective to the academic field. Devon has an extensive educational background, holding a Ph.D. in Media Studies, Communication, and Journalism from New York University, as well as a BA in Women's Studies, English, and Creative Writing from Oberlin College. Additionally, Devon has added to their knowledge base through participation in the Radcliffe Publishing Course and Waverly High School.

Professionally, Devon is an accomplished Associate Professor at Temple University, previously holding the position of Associate Professor and Director of Undergraduate Programs at Drexel University. Devon has also served as an Assistant Professor at Drexel University and held various roles at prominent organizations such as New York University, GLSEN, PopMatters, Teen People, and Teen Voices.
