Devin Knighton is an accomplished public relations professional with over a decade of experience building effective public relations strategies for various companies, including technology startups. Knighton holds a Ph.D. in Public Relations from Purdue University and a Masters in Strategic Public Relations from The George Washington University. He also attained a BA in Public Relations from Brigham Young University.

Currently, Knighton is an Assistant Professor of Public Relations at Brigham Young University, where he shares his expertise with the younger generation. His research has focused on the impact of big data and social networks on public relations strategies. Before working at the university, Knighton helped various start-ups grow their public relations programs, including one successful IPO and another acquisition.

Throughout his career, Knighton has consulted with a variety of organizations on their public relations and social media strategy. Some notable companies he worked for include Instructure, Inc., DataStax, EMC, and Mozy, where he held key positions in public relations and marketing. He also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Purdue University and as a writer for University Communications at Brigham Young University.
