Devin Deuell

Devin Deuell is a pastor who has been actively involved in church planting and ministry work in Los Angeles. He and his wife, Kate, moved to LA in 2013 to pursue church planting in the Westwood region, particularly near UCLA, as part of their calling to reach urban university environments.13

Devin began his ministry journey during his time at the University of Washington, where he experienced a transformative encounter with Jesus that shifted his career aspirations from business to ministry.1 After gaining experience with a church plant in Seattle, the Deuells felt called to Los Angeles, where they joined Reality LA. Devin participated in Reality LA's Pastoral Residency program, which is designed to train and send out church planters.1

In 2017, Reality LA ordained Devin as a pastor and commissioned him to lead a new church community. This community was launched as The Commons LA, holding its first public gathering in October 2017.1 Additionally, Devin has taught on topics such as wisdom and discipline, emphasizing the importance of these virtues in accordance with biblical teachings.2
