DeVaris Brown

DeVaris Brown is the CEO and co-founder of Meroxa, a data application platform that facilitates real-time data management and processing for engineers. Before establishing Meroxa in January 2020, he held significant roles at major tech companies, including Twitter, Heroku, VSCO, and Zendesk, where he contributed as a product leader and executive.123

Brown's entrepreneurial journey is influenced by his family's background; he grew up in Chicago where his grandparents were entrepreneurs, and his mother worked in the tech industry during the dot-com boom. This early exposure to both entrepreneurship and technology inspired his career path.45

In addition to his role at Meroxa, Brown is also a co-founder and CTO of SPILL, a culture-based social media platform, and serves as an angel investor and advisor to various startups. He is actively involved in non-profit organizations, including Ingressive for Good, which aims to enhance tech talent in Africa.256

Outside of his professional life, DeVaris Brown enjoys photography, cooking, and music, often engaging in DJing as a creative outlet.14
