Derrick Smith, a seasoned entrepreneur, discovered his passion for business at the age of 24 and has since established and acquired over 10 entrepreneurial and family businesses.

Co-founding The Firefly Group, Derrick has been dedicated to empowering individuals and companies to achieve their full potential since late-2013. The Firefly Group specializes in acquiring mission-driven businesses with leading brands and high growth potential in the lower-middle market, focusing on human capital companies serving small to mid-size businesses through The Entrepreneurial Toolkit®.

Embracing the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS®), Derrick acquired EOS Worldwide™ in 2018 and Sales Xceleration® in 2021, expanding The Entrepreneurial Toolkit©. Implementing EOS® has profoundly impacted his personal and professional life, enabling him to simplify, focus, and execute efficiently, allowing him to excel both at work and in his family life.

With an educational background in MBA from Indiana University - Kelley School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University Bloomington, Derrick brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his ventures.
