Derek Casey

Derek Casey is a dedicated educator with a strong passion for teaching and designing educational programs.

His focus is on fostering greater linguistic and cultural understanding between East Asia, particularly Japan, and the United States.

Derek holds a Master's degree in History from La Salle University, a Certificate in Advanced Graduate History from Villanova University, a Bachelor of Arts in Japanese Language and Literature from the University of Pittsburgh, and a Certificate in Japanese Linguistics from 甲南大学 / Konan University.

He has served as a Japanese/Social Studies Teacher at the Wissahickon School District and has previous affiliations with the Institutes for the Achievement of Human Potential in Philadelphia, PA, as well as the Council for Local and International Authorities at Japanese ministries of Education and Foreign Affairs.
