Sean Holland
Teacher, Social Studies Department Head at St. Margaret's School
Sean Holland is a versatile individual with a diverse background, having worked as a logger, seaman, prospector, and construction worker. He spent 8 years teaching in Japan, with 5 of those years dedicated to educating students at Sakura no Seibo, a Catholic high school for girls in Fukushima. Upon his return to Canada in 1991, Sean initially taught Japanese language at St. Margaret's School in Victoria before transitioning to social studies and history. Currently, he holds the position of social studies department head at the same institution. Apart from his teaching career, Sean is also an accomplished amateur musician, playing in various bands, creating solo performances, and composing and producing his own music. He is actively involved in sponsoring the rock band club at St. Margaret's and expresses his creativity through visual arts, particularly using Illustrator and other graphic design tools. Sean's broad range of interests includes teaching and music, which are his primary passions.
