Derek Barclay is an accomplished fintech executive and entrepreneur with over a decade of experience in point-of-need financing. He has consulted with numerous consumer finance lenders and implemented consumer financing solutions for thousands of merchants, resulting in billions of dollars in loan applications. Derek founded LoanHero in 2014 to address the technology gaps he saw in the industry. After raising 1.7MM in seed equity and 20MM in debt, he successfully grew LoanHero, employing 20+ employees, and raising an additional 8MM in equity before selling the company to LendingPoint in 2018. Derek is also the founder of Enable Growth, a consulting company that helps banks, lenders, platforms, and merchants strategize about point-of-need financing. Derek holds a BS in Business Administration, Finance, and Economics from Western Washington University.
