Martin Tilson, Jr. is the Chairman of the Southeast Investor Group (SEIG), a collaborative organization comprising partners from 25 venture capital funds, 2 corporate venture funds, and 20 individual investors and family offices. SEIG focuses on investing in growth-stage technology companies in the Southeast United States, typically participating in funding rounds of $2-15 million. Since its founding in 1995, SEIG has reviewed over 10,000 business plans and invested in more than 300 companies, collectively managing over $3 billion in capital.1
In addition to his role at SEIG, Tilson has extensive experience in venture capital and private equity, having conducted over 400 transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and debt financing. He has also served as the global technology practice chair at Kilpatrick Stockton Law Firm and has held various leadership positions in law firms and organizations focused on technology and innovation.1
Tilson is actively involved in various boards, including the Technology Association of Georgia and the Board of Advisors for Emory University’s Goizueta Business School. His industry expertise spans mobility, cloud computing, healthcare IT, fintech, and more.1
