Demi Obayomi

Demi Obayomi is the Vice President at Sapphire Ventures, a prominent venture capital firm based in Palo Alto, California. He joined Sapphire in March 2021, where he focuses on investments in enterprise technology companies from Series B through to IPO stages. His investment interests primarily include horizontal and vertical SaaS businesses, and he has been involved with notable companies such as yellow.ai, Qualified, and Simpplr, among others.13

Before his role at Sapphire, Demi was an investor at NextWorld Capital and FirstMark Capital, where he concentrated on early-stage B2B software companies. He began his career in investment banking at Goldman Sachs.13

Demi Obayomi was born and raised in Nigeria and later moved to the United States to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University, graduating with honors. He is also co-founder of A-Level Capital, an angel investment group aimed at fostering entrepreneurship within the Johns Hopkins community.134 His contributions to the venture capital industry have been recognized, including being named one of the "Rising Stars of Venture Capital" by Business Insider in 2023.2
