Delvin Williams, the Co-Founder and Director of Content at WD Real Productions, has a diverse and accomplished career spanning multiple fields.

Early Life and Education

Delvin Williams is a Houston native and a graduate of Kashmere High School. He was a standout athlete, making Parade Magazine’s 1970 high school All-American football team and leading his high school to a 12-1 season with 1805 rushing yards in just 9.5 games. Despite initial academic challenges, he graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education.14

NFL Career

Williams had a notable career in the NFL, playing for the San Francisco 49ers from 1974 to 1977 and the Miami Dolphins from 1978 to 1981. He was an NFL All-Pro Running Back in 1976 and 1978, setting several rushing records for both teams, including the 49ers' single-season rushing record with 1203 yards and the Dolphins' single-season rushing record with 1258 yards. He was the first player in NFL history to rush for 1000 yards for two different teams and was named to the Pro Bowl for both AFC and NFC teams.14

Post-NFL Career

After retiring from football, Williams dedicated himself to various community and public service endeavors. He founded "Pros for Kids," a non-profit organization aimed at preventing substance abuse among youths. This organization gained significant recognition, including support from First Lady Nancy Reagan, and raised over $500,000. Williams also received an invitation to the White House and developed a lasting relationship with the Reagans.14

Leadership and Community Work

Williams has over two decades of experience in public and community relations. He has organized job initiatives for youths and served on the boards of several organizations in various California counties. He was featured in "Better Health & Living" magazine as one of "10 Americans Who’ve Made a Difference" and was inducted into the African American Ethnic Sports Hall of Fame in 2008.14
