Deborah Johnson

Deborah Johnson, also known as CandyStations, is a versatile multimedia artist and educator based in Brooklyn, NY.

She is a creative director, visual librettist, video designer, animator, and performer, collaborating with a diverse range of artists in various creative projects on stage and screen.

Deborah has worked with well-known artists such as Sufjan Stevens, Sofi Tukker, M83, St. Vincent, and many more, showcasing her talent at renowned venues like Coachella, Disney Concert Hall, and The Museum of Modern Art.

Her expertise extends to producing site-specific performances and installations at prestigious events like SXSW, Sundance, and in notable venues including MoMA and the Brooklyn Academy of Music.

Alongside her artistic endeavors, Deborah holds a Professorship at The Pratt Institute, where she imparts knowledge on Time, Movement, Light, Color, and Design.
