Michael Freni is a seasoned business development professional with extensive experience in the healthcare industry. He holds a BA from the College of the Holy Cross and an MBA from Boston College's Carroll School of Management. He also attended St. John's Prep.

Currently, Freni serves as the Vice President of Business Development, Innovation & Venture Partner for the A.I. Digital Innovation Fund at Mass General Brigham. In this role, he helps identify and develop new business opportunities and partnerships in the healthcare technology sector, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence.

Prior to his current position, Freni held a number of leadership roles at Mass General Brigham. These included Managing Director, Business Development & Venture Partner, AI Digital Innovation Fund (AIDIF); Senior Director, Business Development & AI Digital Innovation Venture Fund (AIDIF); Director, Partners Business Planning & Senior Executive Director of Business Transformation, NSMC; Director, Business Planning; Senior Director of Strategic Development, NSMC; and Senior and Manager, Business Planning, all within Partners Healthcare.

Earlier in his career, Freni worked as a Senior Consultant and Planning Manager, Business Planning at Northeast Health System. Through it all, he has built a reputation as a skilled business development leader with a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare industry.
