Dawn Demps

Dawn Demps is a dedicated professional with a strong background in researching the history of Black education and student exclusion, as well as community resistance to such practices.

Her experience spans various roles in the non-profit sector, focusing on college access, school and parent engagement, youth advocacy, community arts, and more.

She holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences and Africana Studies from the University of Michigan-Flint, as well as advanced degrees in Education Policy and Evaluation, and Social Justice.

Dawn has served in key positions such as Assistant Professor at the University of Arizona College of Education and Executive Director at the Urban Center for Post-Secondary Access and Success.
