David Vaux is a highly experienced team leader and clinician with expertise in Health/Wellbeing, healthy aging, and health promotion. He has a proven track record of delivering innovative data-driven projects and evidence-based protocols in health and wellbeing, MSK, pain management, aging, and self-management.
Currently, David divides his time between clinical work and managing a national network of allied health professionals for Arthritis Action. He serves as the project lead on Exercise and Activity, with a focus on chronic pain management via exercise and data-led strategies for long-term health conditions.
David's expertise spans across clinical, fitness, human performance, and Health Span-Longevity sectors. He combines his knowledge of musculoskeletal conditions with experience in the health and fitness industry, collaborating with health-tech companies to design AI-driven programs for osteoarthritis patients.
Aside from his clinical work, David provides strategic health and wellness advice to organizations, delivering data-driven insight reports and implementing organizational change. He has a diverse background working with the National Youth Orchestra, international sports squads, charities, and private sector companies, offering services ranging from stress management to injury prevention programs.
Prior to his osteopathic training, David served in the Fire Service as a physical training officer, accumulating over 20 years of experience in the fitness and human performance industry. He has provided clinical support at major events like the 2017 World Athletics Championships and sits on advisory panels for allied health professionals and national health-focused think tanks.
David holds a Master of Science in Osteopathic Medicine/Osteopathy, a Bachelor's degree in Osteopathic Medicine/Osteopathy, an MSc in Applied Human Sciences focusing on Exercise and Health Promotion, and a Post Graduate Certificate in Occupational Health and Fitness.
