David Sullivan is a PhD holder in Public Policy and a professional with a particular interest in emerging technology governance and policy, global governance, Data Science Ethics, business and human rights, tech and private governance, emerging technologies, innovation, privacy and data protection, ethical implications of technology, social media, and cyber security. Besides, David also has a strong background in freelance journalism, political communication, new and social media, and political science, with a great obsession with comedy. He studied various graduate and doctoral programs at different universities in the United States and holds a B.A. from the University of Bucharest.

David has a vast experience working in different organizations, including as a Guest Researcher at Leibniz Institute for Media Research - Hans-Bredow-Institut, a former Postdoctoral Fellow at NYU Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development, a former Visiting Scholar at Elliott School of International Affairs, a former Policy Manager at Data for Democracy, and a former Curator at DiploFoundation. He was also a Google Policy Fellow at Global Network Initiative and Internet Education Foundation, and also a Research Fellow at The Future of Privacy Forum.

His early career saw him work as a Front Office Agent at Vox Maris Costinesti, Freelance Journalist at Realitatea-Catavencu, and later as an Assistant to Dr. Iulia Motoc at The United Nations Human Rights Committee. He also co-founded Fawnders Co, where he was an entrepreneur. David's unique experience makes him an expert in multistakeholderism, social media policy, governance, and emerging technology policy.
