David Staffenberg

David A. Staffenberg is a distinguished Professor and Vice Chairman of the Hansjörg Wyss Department of Plastic Surgery, as well as the Chief of Pediatric Plastic Surgery at the esteemed NYU Langone Medical Center.

With a wealth of experience and expertise, Dr. Staffenberg is renowned globally for his proficiency in both cosmetic surgery and reconstructive procedures for facial anomalies arising from congenital conditions, trauma, previous surgeries, or cancer.

His specialization in craniofacial surgery encompasses treating conditions such as craniosynostosis, cleft lip and palate, ear deformities, rhinoplasty, and chin and cheek enhancements.

David Staffenberg pursued his academic journey at various prestigious institutions including Binghamton University for his BA, Emory University School of Medicine, New York Medical College for his MD, and the University of California, Los Angeles.

Throughout his career, Dr. Staffenberg has held key roles in reputable organizations including serving as the Vice Chair of the Hansjörg Wyss Department of Plastic Surgery at NYU Langone Medical Center, and previously as a Professor of Plastic Surgery, Neurosurgery, and Pediatrics, as well as the Chief of Pediatric Plastic Surgery at NYU Langone Medical Center and Montefiore Medical Center.
