David Sommer is an accomplished marketing expert with over 16 years of experience partnering with some of the world's largest Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) and Retailer companies to develop integrated marketing plans that drive sales growth. He is currently the Head of Industry (HOI) for CPG, Retail Partnerships, and Shopper Marketing at Facebook.

Before joining Facebook, David founded and led Retail Media Link (RML), which was later acquired by GroupM/WPP. At GroupM, David established and led the company's shopper marketing practice, growing it into a +$100 Million billings business. He has also worked as a Vice President at Y&R Advertising, where he led the CPG practice.

David holds an MBA in Marketing, Finance, and New Media from Columbia Business School and a BA in English Literature from the University of Michigan. He has also held various positions at organizations such as DataLogix, Inc., Mediaedge:cia, ABC Radio Networks, Colgate-Palmolive Company, and The Marketing Group, Category Management Consulting.
