His journey in science communication began in 1998 at the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester, where he honed his skills as an exhibit builder, presenter, and science outreach coordinator.

David's dedication to innovative science communication techniques earned him the prestigious Manchester Science Festival Josh award for his outstanding contributions to popularizing science busking methods. He further advanced these techniques by initiating school busker training programs, recognized with the Learning Outside the Classroom award for Innovation.
