David Haglin

David Haglin is the Chief Technology Officer at Trovares, a position he has held since 2016.1 He has over 30 years of experience in the technology industry, with a strong background in graph algorithms, high-performance computing, and machine learning.23

Haglin's career began in 1983 as a Software Engineer at Unisys, where he later became a Senior Software Engineer. In 1991, he joined Minnesota State University, Mankato as a Professor of Computer Science and later served as Associate Dean of the College of Science, Engineering and Technology. In 2009, he joined Pacific Northwest National Laboratory as a Research Scientist, working on challenging problems of national significance using high-performance computing and graph algorithms.1

During his time at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, Haglin designed and built an in-memory graph database system supporting the RDF data model and SPARQL queries or custom C++ applications.1

Academically, David Haglin received his B.A. in Math and Computer Science from Concordia College in 1983 and his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota in 1989.1

As a researcher, Haglin has made significant contributions to the field, with over 1,200 citations and an h-index of 19.2 His work spans various areas, including gamma-ray burst classification, parallel computing algorithms, and semantic databases.3
