Oreste Villa

Oreste Villa is a senior research scientist at NVIDIA in the Architecture Research Group with a focus on computer architectures and programming models for various systems.

With a background in computer architecture, parallel programming, high performance computing, run-times, and embedded systems, Oreste has extensive knowledge of hardware and software interactions and their effects on power and performance.

He has a decade of experience in characterizing and modeling system-level performance, conducting comparative studies, and publishing results.

Prior to his current role at NVIDIA, Oreste Villa worked as a research scientist in high performance computing at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL). He holds a Ph.D. from Politecnico di Milano in Italy.
