The RedwoodAI GenAI Portal (RGP) is a time-to-value (TTV) carbon management platform designed for speed and scale as the world races to better manage its carbon budget. It’s designed and built on a complex adaptive systems (CAS) architecture that retains existing system resources that integrate and optimize new technologies in a whole system framework. The initial use case incudes physics-based surrogate models for immediate fossil fuel emissions reductions that are multiples higher than the average annual rise in CO2 emissions while also significantly increasing renewable energy production for carbon capture, conversion and storage (CCCS). RedwoodAI's mission is to leverage the speed, scope, and scale of GenAI to create carbon management models and tools that mimic the cyclical flows, ecosystem efficiencies, and resiliency of the planet's natural carbon cycles.

RedwoodAdaptive specializes in peak performance and capacity acquisition in complex adaptive systems such as businesses and organizations. Enhanced adaptive capacity can reduce costs and exposure and increase revenue and profits through the agents and networks that successfully manage and respond to both internal and external operational inputs. Complexity science provides cyclic, flow based models that can simplify even extreme levels of complexity while also facilitating continual adaptation and evolution. These gains in adaptive capacity are embedded via algorithm in response to and anticipation of changes throughout an organization’s operational ecosystems, markets and the overall biosphere.

• Represented PCI on the Oklahoma Hydrogen Task Force and the HALO H2Hub along with other stakeholders. Secured a development contract with a French company for a dynamic simulation of system operations that uses AI for optimization and sizing strategies and includes an assessment of technical, economic and environmental indicators for the integration and optimization of hydrogen assets into existing infrastructure. 
• Consulted on the design and development of GTH2 for techno-economic analysis and market simulations using a Python model for hydrogen produced from curtailed and negative LMP renewables for the decarbonization of gas turbine fleets, long-duration storage, GREET C02e emissions scoring, and Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) economic incentives for primary energy feedstocks and power generation use cases.
• Customized GTH2 for critical cost and emissions due diligence for Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) and Final Investment Decision (FID) processes through system optimizations and sensitivity analyses that assess profitability and environmental performance and include net present value, payback time, rate of return and avoided CO2e emissions for all system-bound technologies.

Consultant, H2 Software Design: Market Simulations for Asset Integration and Optimization

Designed the Okanagan Hydrogen Innovation Hub (OHIH) concept with the University of British Columbia Okanagan as a North American cohort of industry, utility, university, governmental, national lab, indigenous, and investor stakeholders whose aim was to develop cleantech hubs for a U.S. Canada innovation network. The network consisted of project-based value stacks built on production to end user platforms for various hydrogen technologies and end uses. These platforms included digital twins as the first nodes in a digital supercluster based on a Canadian model designed with academic and national lab partners in the U.S. and Canada.

Consultant, H2Hub Design

Leveraged utility, industry, technology, and governmental collaborative partnerships for a university-based technology to market demonstration project. Support included Siemens, HP Industry Solutions, oil & gas majors, cleantech consultants, and multiple national laboratories. Project scope involved the research, pre-planning, and design of the Clary Advanced Resource Recovery Site (CARRS) that featured clean power and storage for oil & gas sites, produced water recycling and beneficial reuse via distributed water systems for agriculture and community reuse, CO2e emissions monitoring/capture/mitigation and digital platforms with advanced analytics for improved asset yields.

Advised the City on how best to develop its solar sector in ways that drive job creation, technological innovation and sustainable growth and development while engaging all relevant stakeholders including municipal offices, utilities, governmental offices, universities, regulators, private investors, and the broad public sector. Consulted with the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), the Regulatory Assistance Program (RAP), and international experts on utility engagement strategies and next generation business models that incorporate distributed energy resources (DER) regulatory reform, policy support and market opportunities

OKC SolSmart Advisor

• Created 10Y, a multi-phased, 10-year energy, environmental and economic development platform designed to achieve net positive renewable energy for the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians (TMBCI) through the displacement or offset of $6.5M in annual costs of non-tribal utility hydrocarbons. Managed the development of 75MW of wind energy for the Turtle Mountain Power Authority (TMPA) valued at $10-12M. Completed a deep energy retrofit analysis with Johnson Controls for the Turtle Mountain Manufacturing Center.
• Researched a tribal utility authority including a unified software platform, conducted research on Section 17 structures for project-based LLCs and expanded the MoU between the Turtle Mountain Community College and the National Energy Center of Excellence at Bismarck State College to include certificate and degree programs. Created a collaborative R&D partnership with the Energy, Environments & Design Lab at the Harvard Graduate School of Design for a housing prototype, the Harvard Chippewa Home.
• Toured Camp Pendleton Marine Base to review system configurations including fractal solar PV arrays with data capture and management with a 25-year PPA for a $1.5B Flex Power System and FractalGrid with flywheel storage. Officially the TMBCI representative with the DOE, NREL, BIA, DOI and the DOE Office of Indian Energy.

Conducted a field demonstration of the Exergy Off-Grid Box (OGB) at Oklahoma State University and directed collaborative research efforts with the Energy Systems Integration Facility (ESIF) at the National Renewable Energy Lab (NREL) on a techno-economic analysis for off grid technologies that harvest, manage and store every commercially viable energy and water resource on a given site in various ecoregions and climate zones.
