David Arel

Meet Dave Arel, a co-founder and CTO with an impressive background in tech startups and product development. He is best known as the co-founder and CTO of Codeverse, an innovative company that is dedicated to teaching children how to code. Prior to that, Dave co-founded Roniin, which later became builders.vc, Chefmade, and Americademy.

Dave's professional journey started after he completed his Associate in Science degree in Audio Production at The New England Institute of Art. He then began working in web development and design as a freelancer, during which he built up an impressive portfolio that led to him joining The Atom Group as a principal web developer. After a few years, he switched gears to become an Assistant Audio Engineer at L. Wynn Sound.

Dave's passion lies in tech startups and product development. He has been a mentor at Techstars and The Starter League, and he's played key roles in several successful startups. He served as the Director of Product at Belly, a Chicago-based customer loyalty program provider. Before that, he co-founded Chefmade, which was later acquired by Cooked. He also co-founded Americademy, TableSavvy, and Builders VC (formerly Roniin).

Dave's most notable claim to fame is as the co-founder and CTO of Codeverse. In this role, Dave was instrumental in developing a proprietary kid-friendly coding language called KidScript, which has opened up the world of coding to children from diverse backgrounds. His leadership and vision have helped Codeverse become one of the most innovative and successful edtech startups in the United States.

Dave is currently the Head of Platform at Thoughtful Automation, where he's responsible for developing and managing the company's platform strategy. He's a knowledgeable and driven professional with a unique talent for building successful startups and innovating in the tech space.
