Darryl Tan

Darryl Tan, CFA, CAIA, is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in maritime and finance sectors, with a strong background in domestic and international shipping as well as banking.

Currently serving as the Chief Risk Officer at FPG AIM Capital, Darryl focuses on asset-backed transportation finance, particularly in the aviation, shipping, and marine container industries, at the Singapore-based asset management firm.

Prior to his current role, Darryl held key positions at ABN AMRO, where he spearheaded the Transportation and Logistics sector coverage in the Asia Pacific region, and significantly contributed to the development of the franchise in the region.

Darryl's expertise lies in providing financial advisory services and leading mandates related to cross-border tax structures, event-driven transactions, export credit, asset finance, and sustainability-linked financing, aiming to enhance clients' capital structures and strategically improve their businesses.

Darryl's international experience includes working in Copenhagen, Singapore, and Hong Kong, with successful deal closures in South East Asia, China, Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, and the Middle East.

Educationally, Darryl holds a Bachelor of Business (Hons, Financial Analysis) from Nanyang Technological University, along with completing an EMBA from his Alma Mater. He is also a CFA and CAIA charter holder, has participated in executive programs at renowned institutions like Tsinghua University and IMD, and holds an Advanced Certificate in Sustainability and Sustainable Businesses from SMU.

With a deep curiosity about the global economy, Darryl actively seeks to incorporate technology in the maritime and finance sectors for continued advancement.
