Darcie Collins is an ecologist and limnologist with a Ph.D. from the University of California at Santa Barbara's Donald Bren School of Environmental Science and Management. She has a strong background in environmental policy, community engagement, and nonprofit leadership.

With over 20 years of experience, Darcie has excelled in building and leading teams in the environmental sector, focusing on advocating for science-informed policy, environmental protection, and community education.

Born and raised in South Lake Tahoe, Darcie has held key roles such as the Executive Director at the League to Save Lake Tahoe, Board Chair at the Tahoe Baikal Institute, and Habitat Restoration Director at Save the Bay.

She has a dual bachelor's degree in biology and political science from UCSB, complementing her Ph.D. in Estuarine Management and Restoration. Her expertise includes managing teams, fundraising, program development, community engagement, and board development.

Darcie has successfully managed operational budgets, developed science and environmental initiatives, facilitated staff trainings, and secured millions of dollars in grants and gifts for environmental nonprofits. She is known for her capacity building efforts and has been involved in various environmental organizations and projects throughout her career.
