    Daniel Schwabe is a retired Professor at PUC-Rio, renowned for leading research initiatives involving academia and industry in the development of web applications, social networks, and knowledge-based systems.

    His expertise lies in the research and development of knowledge-based applications in the web environment, as well as web applications and information systems that function as man-machine teams striving to accomplish specific objectives.

    Daniel is known for spearheading multi-disciplinary research and development teams and currently focuses on Knowledge Graphs, with a keen interest in Trust, Privacy, and Transparency.

    He has a diverse educational background, having studied at Brasil América, completed a Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of California, Los Angeles, and obtained an MSc in Informatics from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro.

    Daniel Schwabe has been an Invited Expert at OECD.AI and held positions such as Formerly Elected Member and Vice-Chair at the International World Wide Web Conference Committee. He has also been an active member of the Semantic web research community and served as a Professor and Collaborator at PUC-Rio and the PUC-Rio Alumni Association.
