Daniel Coelho de Castro

Daniel de Castro is a highly educated and experienced researcher in the field of machine learning and medical image analysis. With a Doctor of Philosophy from Imperial College London, he has also studied Advanced Computing (MRes) at the same institution, as well as Engineering (Diplôme d'Ingénieur) at Ecole Centrale Paris and Computer Engineering (BSc) at Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro.

Currently, Daniel is a Senior Researcher at Microsoft, where he brings his expertise in machine learning to develop innovative solutions for medical imaging. Prior to this, he was a Honorary Research Fellow at Imperial College London and has held various internship positions in research at Kheiron Medical and Microsoft.

In addition to his research work, Daniel has also been involved in teaching as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Imperial College London and as a Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at Pontificia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro. He has also conducted research as an Undergraduate Research Fellow at Laboratory of Applied Computational Intelligence and Robotics (PUC-Rio) and has industry experience as an R&D Intern at Gemalto and Operator Intern at BNP Paribas Partners for Innovation.
