In collaboration with SpaceX Radiation Effects team and NASA counterparts, developed a high-fidelity model of Avionics systems radiation vulnerabilities and component interdependencies. Iterated through system architectures and FDIR algorithms at the processor, firmware, and peripheral node levels.This flexible radiation risk mitigation solution reduced NASA mission risk assessment from 5x4 (consequence vs. likelihood) to a 5x1 risk.

Served as Responsible Engineer (RE) for the avionics systems of: Falcon 9 (F9) launch vehicle 2nd Stage; Merlin-D Vacuum rocket engine; F9 payload fairing; and the F9 hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test beds & launch site test systems. Responsibilities of the RE include: system-level requirements generation; interface specification, and wiring schematic design; harness design, release, and manufacturing support; simulation equipment design and build; interdepartmental design team liaison; vehicle test and launch operations support.

Provided teaching assistance for a high school internship program in Mechanical Engineering, centered on principles of design the construction of Rube Goldberg machines. I assisted in lecturing on ME disciplines, and provided microcontroller integration and electronics support for the students' projects as well as a personally constructed machine.
