Hardware Startup & Manufacturing Advisor, Entrepreneur, and Podcast Host
Sera Evcimen is a technical leader with a strong background in hardware development, mechanical and manufacturing engineering, and program management. She has held various roles in startups across multiple industries, including space, consumer electronics, fusion energy, and robotics.
At Commonwealth Fusion Systems (CFS), she served as the System Integration Project Lead from March 2021 to January 2022, where she was involved in integrating systems for fusion energy projects. Prior to that, she worked as a Mechanical Engineer at CFS from January 2020 to March 2021, contributing to the development of innovative fusion technologies in collaboration with MIT's Plasma Science and Fusion Center.1
In addition to her technical roles, Sera is also the founder of Pratik, a consultancy focused on hardware startups, and serves as a mentor at Techstars, where she supports budding entrepreneurs in navigating product development and technical strategy.1 Her educational background includes a Bachelor's degree from Boston University, and she has gained extensive experience through various internships and engineering roles throughout her career.1
