Daniel Knapper

Daniel Knapper is the Senior Business Development Manager at AMBER, the SFI Research Centre for Advanced Materials and BioEngineering Research, which is hosted by Trinity College Dublin. His role involves promoting AMBER's research capabilities across various industries and developing new industry opportunities in key sectors such as Renewables, Energy, and ICT. He also manages the Business Development Team's strategy to facilitate collaborative industry research and is responsible for academic and industry engagement, account management, and client relationships.123

Knapper has over 30 years of experience in international business development, having previously served as the Head of Business Development at The Royal Mint. His extensive background includes roles in the Oil & Gas, Marine & Power, and Mining & Natural Resources industries with companies like Alfa Laval and Schlumberger. He has led international business development teams and has been involved in various capacities such as Head of Sales & Marketing and Director of Key Accounts.12

He holds a background in Marine Engineering, having studied at the Marine Engineering Defence School in the UK, and has specialized in Gas and Nuclear Power Generation. Additionally, Knapper is a Fellow of The Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and a member of several professional organizations including the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE)【1】【2】【3】.
