Dana Plunkett-Cafourek

Dana Plunkett-Cafourek is the Prison Research Innovation Network Manager for the Missouri Department of Corrections, based in Jefferson City, Missouri.1 She has held this position since August 2020, where she works on enhancing prison environments through improved data collection, transparency, and accountability. Her role involves designing, implementing, and evaluating evidence-based programs and policies to improve conditions for both incarcerated individuals and prison staff.1

Before her current role, Dana served as an Executive I at the Missouri Department of Corrections from October 2014 to August 2020.1 She holds a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and Corrections from Columbia College, completed in 2020, and has also studied psychology at the same institution.1

Dana has earned several certifications through LinkedIn, including "Building Trust," "Creating a Culture of Change," and "Project Management Foundations," among others.1 Additionally, she is active in community and professional engagements, such as representing the Ashland Optimist Club and participating in various initiatives at the Moberly Correctional Center.23
