Damian Cooper

Damian Cooper is a seasoned professional with almost 15 years of experience at PwC, focusing on providing support to Life and General Insurance clients in the UK and Australia.

With a background in both external audit and advisory roles, Damian has worked extensively with multinational and medium-sized insurance companies, assisting with complex problem-solving related to acquisitions, finance function transformations, and IFRS conversion.

Having recently relocated to Bermuda, Damian now aims to leverage his expertise in leadership, risk assurance, controls, and IFRS implementations to enhance the assurance business for large capitalisation insurance and reinsurance clients.

His specialization also includes aiding insurers and reinsurers in preparing for and executing IFRS 17 solutions, along with a strong understanding of reporting obligations under Solvency II and Sarbanes-Oxley as part of integrated audits for SEC registrants.

Damian Cooper holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Bristol.
