Originally from Rancho Cucamonga, California, DaJuan attended Los Osos High School and The University of Redlands Pre-College before earning his Bachelor's of Music from The University of Arizona, specializing in clarinet performance under Jerry Kirkbride.
DaJuan Brooks currently serves as the Director of Bands in the Fine Arts Department at John B. Connally High School, bringing his expertise and passion for music education to the students.
Having completed his Master of Music in Clarinet Performance and Music Education at Northwestern University, DaJuan Brooks has honed his skills under the mentorship of renowned instructors like Steve Cohen, Laurie Bloom, and Leslie Grimm.
Throughout his career, DaJuan has held significant roles in various musical organizations, including being a member of the Northshore Concert Band and performing in studios and orchestras in the Chicago-land area.
DaJuan Brooks's rich musical journey includes being the principal clarinetist of the University of Arizona Wind Ensemble, the Arizona Symphony, and participating in multiple roles in orchestras for the UA Theatre and Film department.
DaJuan's talent extends beyond performing, as he has been recognized for his conducting abilities through prestigious programs like the National Band Association's Young Conductor and Composer Mentor Project, where he worked with industry experts like Anthony Maiello and Colonel Larry H. Lang.
