Dai Truong

Dai Truong, Managing Director at Arlington Capital Advisors, is a multifaceted professional with a thriving career in investment banking, venture capital, and cannabis industry. Dai studied Economics and Southeast Asian Studies at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He has worked with top firms and esteemed organizations across different sectors.

Dai started his career as an Intern at Merrill Lynch before moving to Investment Banking Summer Analyst at Greenhill & Co., Credit Portfolio Risk, and Credit Analyst at City National Bank. Later, he dabbled in Technology Investment Banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Thomas Weisel Partners. Dai’s venture capital and corporate development experience started as a Venture Capitalist at Austin Ventures. Subsequently, he held different roles as VP Corporate Development at MedMen and VP Corporate Development at Left Coast Ventures. Notably, he also worked with Anheuser-Busch InBev as an Investments/M&A professional and ZX Ventures as a Venture Capitalist.

Currently, as the Managing Director at Arlington Capital Advisors, Dai leads Cannabis Investment Banking and supports clients in the cannabis industry. Simultaneously, he manages his newsletter, Highly Objective, where he shares insights on the cannabis industry. Dai also founded Upside Talent previously, a recruitment and executive search firm.
