I served as Acting Executive Director of an historic Arts Education organization that brings the power, joy and positive influence of the arts into the lives of people of all ages. Our programs in the visual and performing arts are in the schools, hospitals, senior and community centers as well as libraries. Our mission is to enhance the lives of people of all ages and abilities by creating equitable opportunities to engage the arts.

After a three year absence, I returned to the Jackie Robinson Foundation in March of 2012.  JRF is a national, not–for–profit, organization founded in 1973 as a vehicle to perpetuate the memory of Jackie Robinson through the advancement of higher education among underserved populations. JRF provides generous four–year college scholarships in conjunction with a comprehensive set of skills and opportunities to disadvantaged students of color to ensure their success in college and to develop their leadership potential. I returned to the Foundation in 2012 to lead the communications efforts as it entered a new exciting phase of its 40 year history as well as to aid in the coordination and publicity of the Jackie Robinson biopic "42". 

My responsibilities included, but was not limited to, keeping JRF's website current, producing weekly e-blasts for external constituents,  daily in-depth digital research for senior staff, managing our social networks and digital efforts, managing media and pitching stories to various media outlets.

I taught an introduction to broadcast production and journalism course at the Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY. I also taught a Craft course that enabled students to experience real life broadcast journalism experiences.

I served as Director of Communications and Media of this historic church located in the Morningside Heights/Harlem section of New York City. I was responsible for external and internal communications and served on the senior staff of the church. I was also responsible for all digital communications including e-mail blasts, website updates and using social networking tools to increase visibility and fund raise.  In addition, I shot, edited and encoded DVD's for sale and distribution. In 2010,  I took on the added responsibility of development,  implementing new ideas to conventional stewardship activities at the church. In addition, I established a  video production unit at the church to increase revenue and enhance rentals.

I was on the ground floor of this joint venture between NBC and Microsoft serving as its first executive producer of the website that oversaw NBC News's inaugural involvement on the internet. Prior to this partnership, I led a team of journalist who produced the first original journalism on the internet.
