Craig Smith

Craig Smith, MD is an experienced neurologist and medical professional with an extensive background in healthcare consulting, research, and administration. He holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Washington and has studied medicine and neurology at the highest level. Dr. Smith has held numerous leadership positions throughout his career, including serving as Affiliate Professor and Co-Director at University of Washington - School of Medicine and as Interim CEO and Chair of the Board of Trustees at Bloodworks Northwest.

In addition to his work in academia, Dr. Smith has held several key roles in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry, including as eHealth Group Project Lead at Novartis, Chief Medical Officer at Bionure, and Senior Medical Director at Genentech. He has also served as Senior Advisor at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and as a National Council Board Member at the World Wildlife Fund.

Dr. Smith has a strong interest in environmental conservation and has been involved in various conservation efforts, including serving as a board member at NatureBridge. He also has experience in ophthalmology and neuro-ophthalmology and has worked to develop new treatments and therapies for patients suffering from these conditions.
