Cphr Joanna Zhao is a dedicated individual driving inclusivity in the workplace with a focus on understanding systemic marginalization and minimizing the negative impact individuals face.

With core values of integrity, grit, and passion, Joanna is currently advancing her career in HR and working towards the CPHR designation as a people & culture leader.

Joanna holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from The University of British Columbia with a concentration in Organizational Behavior, Human Resources, Sustainability, and Social Impact.

She has a diverse professional background, having worked in roles such as People & Culture Coordinator at Kindred Construction Ltd., EDI Facilitator at Storybolt, Teaching Assistant, Research Assistant, and Human Resources Generalist Intern at various organizations.

Joanna's experience spans across education, organizational behavior, sustainability, social impact, management, and strategy, showcasing her versatility and commitment to creating positive change.
