Tasks and Responsibilities: 
- Addresses and coordinates response to complaints, grievances and service facilitation related issues expressed by a patient or his/her representative received as calls, letters, survey responses, webpage submissions, etc.  
- Utilizes comprehensive healthcare software to document patient experience feedback.  Serves as communication coordinator amongst departments to further investigate complaints and grievances in order to resolve and better meet patient care and service expectations.  
- Reviews patient satisfaction scores obtained from hospital surveys and shares metric data with hospital leaders on a monthly basis.  
- Participates as departmental presenter during New Employee Orientation.  
- Partners with Volunteer Services department to identify Patient and Family Advisors (PFAs) and conducts PFA orientation sessions.  
- Executes Lost and Found patient belonging process, including collection, logging and coordinating return of items.  
- Carries out Saluting Our Stars (SOS) employee recognition program. 
- Serves as back-up support for Guest Services department, including COVID-19 health screeners and entrance attendants.

Job Summary: To advance Mercy High School’s mission and vision of educating and empowering women of diverse backgrounds to become change leaders who pursue compassionate justice through action, the Counseling Department seeks an Equity and Inclusion Coach who will work with students, faculty and staff to examine and explore current practices, teachings, curriculum, etc. with regard to diversity and inclusion and best practices moving forward. Through this partnership, Mercy High School will be taking another step towards creating a more inclusive school community where all members feel welcome, valued and supported. 

Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Partnered with the Counseling Department to re-structure and further develop diversity retreat curriculum to further align with the mission and vision of Mercy High School.
- Observed and participated in 4-hour training workshop with Mercy Link Crew junior and senior leaders.
- Participated in a post-retreat, debrief session with Counseling Department to gather reflective and constructive feedback.

Equity and Inclusion Coach

As a component of Loyola High School's academic program and as a way to enhance students' potential for success as adults, the Loyola Work Experience Program (LWEP) gives each student the opportunity to use personal and professional skills in a real-world workplace environment. 

Tasks and Responsibilities: 
- Established and maintained relationships with existing group of 25 LWEP sponsors to ensure consistent student support and program success.
- Cultivated relationships with a network of corporate clients, human resource departments and job supervisors to ensure annual renewal and continued program growth.
- Conducted 15 – 20 quarterly on-site student/sponsors visits per school year.
- Carried out annual orientation sessions for rising junior class, transfer students, parents and guardians.
- Developed and directed annual two-week LWEP summer training workshop for 30 – 40 rising juniors to prepare them for work in a professional, business environment. 
- Worked directly with students with learning challenges; developed action plans to ensure success in program.
- Compiled and reviewed data from LWEP sponsors, students and quarterly performance evaluations to improve LWEP curriculum and operation.
- Meticulously maintained program and department files electronically and in hard copy.

Director, Loyola Work Experience Program (LWEP)

Generation of Promise is a ten-month diversity, justice and inclusion awareness and leadership development program for Detroit Metropolitan area high school students.  

Tasks/Responsibilities: 
- Planned and implemented experiential diversity, justice and inclusion programming and served as lead facilitator in executing annual program orientation sessions, a weekend orientation retreat, six monthly program events, closing graduation ceremony and various fundraising events.
- Interviewed, on-boarded, trained, and directed a team of ten adult volunteer facilitators to assist in executing program day activities and discussion sessions.
- Established authentic and constructive communication channels with students, families, school leaders and program facilitators to assess program satisfaction and maintain positive attendance.
- Executed a multi-faceted student application and selection process in conjunction with the Board of Trustees.
- Partnered with an esteemed network of leading civic, cultural and individual institutions throughout metropolitan Detroit’s culturally diverse populations including members of the Arab, Muslim, Jewish, Latino, African American, East Indian and Bengali communities.
- Ensured a continuum of youth-driven leadership by providing opportunities for current participants and alumni to co-lead program day discussions and activities.
- Organized logistics for meetings, projects and events: secured conference rooms and designed floor plans, ordered equipment, handled scheduling, and booked guest instructors and speakers.
- Collaborated on the development of the annual departmental budget of $150,000; monitored and maximized funds through economical utilization of personnel, materials and program curriculum.
- Prepared final reports and worked with the finance and legal department to document expenses and establish grant compliance.
- Coordinated involvement of the Board of Trustees including support for regular meetings and committee engagement.
