Senior Software Engineer

- Led team of 4 engineers on technical design and implementation of reporting dashboard utilizing Clj, CljScript, and Kafka Connect to provide insights from reporting applications to Capital Markets team.
-  Leveraged Ruby on Rails to create multiple-geography reporting application following “Rails-style” declarative interface when defining reports that included their SQL, CSV formatting, and data transformations.
-  Updated Ruby and Clojure applications to onboard multiple investors each contributing $1b+ to the platform.
-  Implemented PGP encryption and signing in Clojure for delivering sensitive reports to investor SFTP servers.
-  Identified and deprecated 4 limited-functionality Clojure and Ruby apps saving company ~$46,000 annually.
-  Lent technical expertise, support, and advice to business operations groups on a daily basis.
-  Trained multiple new-hire Software Engineers on tech stack and wrote most of team technical documentation.
-  Participated heavily in domain handoff during layoff resulting in new team functioning earlier than expected.
-  Consistently had above-average performance reviews resulting in >10% raises year-over-year.

Utilized Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, and Sidekiq to build a complex window measurement platform for Peninsulators which resulted in a 40% increase in employee efficiency, a 20-30% reduction in shade installation time, and a net loss reduction of ~$30,000 annually due to reduced user miscalculations.

Designed and built front-end views using modern JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3 interactive design techniques for Certified HVAC while coordinating with their marketing team for SEO-optimization.

Kentco Solutions, LLC

Co-founded BlastPort and grew the customer base by 25% annually through developing a platform to offer low-cost web hosting plans with quality customer service utilizing JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5 and CSS3.
