Denver native Clay Busch is a seasoned entertainment industry veteran with over 15 years of experience in marketing, branding, partnerships, and live events. He specializes in a variety of industries, including entertainment, spirits, and alternative categories. After graduating from Chapman University with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Clay's first job in the industry was an internship at AEG Live's Kodak Theatre, where he went on to work with the Staples Center and the LA Kings. He then transitioned to music marketing at Columbia Records before moving to Interscope / Geffen / A&M Records, where he helped develop early signage for artists like Lady Gaga, LMFAO, The Pussycat Dolls, The All-American Rejects, and Tokio Hotel. Clay was also a Product Manager at Universal Music Group's Interscope/Geffen/A&M Records for artists such as Rob Zombie, Yeah Yeah Yeah's, White Lies, and many more.
Between 2011 and 2018, Clay was the Vice President for the marketing, media, and brand partnerships departments for Danny Wimmer Presents, the country's biggest independent live events promoter. In 2018 he departed to found his SiX18 Media Agency. The agency advised a variety of brands, companies, and artists, including Slipknot No 9 Whiskey, GWAR, Beartooth, and Danny Wimmer Presents. Clay has served on the board of advisors for several companies including Heavy Grass, Zippo Lighters, and Maloof Family Ventures such as Palms Hotel in Las Vegas, Sacramento Kings, Monster Energy Outbreak Tour, and the Maloof Money Cup. Clay has been an active fundraiser for T.J. Martel Foundation and T.J. Martel Wine Dinner in Los Angeles for many years.
Today, Clay is the Vice President at Shelter Music Group, a full-service management company, and record label founded in 2017. Before joining Shelter Music Group, Clay served as the Senior Vice President at Alchemy Recordings and as the founder of the CBG (Clay Busch Group). He is credited with discovering one of music's fastest-rising artists and Grammy-nominated artist, Nothing More.
