Claudio Pinna

Claudio Pinna, based in Rome, Italy, is known for his expertise in retirement consulting. He currently serves as the Head of Aon Retirement Consulting in Italy and also holds the position of Adjunct Professor at The University of Milan Bicocca, teaching 'Actuarial Techniques for pension funds'. Additionally, Claudio contributes as an expert on pension and accounting matters for 'Il Sole 24 Ore', a prominent Italian financial newspaper. With a career spanning back to 1990, Claudio began at the Milan branch of Wyatt and eventually became the Head of the Benefits division after the Watson and Wyatt merger. Subsequently, in 1996, he founded Adelaide Consulting, a local actuarial consulting firm, where he operated as Partner and Head of the Rome office. Later, Adelaide Consulting merged with Hewitt in 2006, and Claudio assumed the role of Managing Director for Italy. Claudio's contributions extend to the National Council of the Institute of Actuaries and the Committee of Delegates at EPAP, the pension fund for various professional sectors, including actuaries. He has also shared his knowledge through teaching engagements at prominent universities and served on the Board of Auditors of Assoprevidenza, an association of private pension funds. Claudio holds a degree with honors in Statistics and Actuarial Science from the University 'La Sapienza' of Rome, having successfully completed the state examination to become a certified Actuary and is a member of the National Institute of Actuaries. Furthermore, he has a military background as an officer of the Guardia di Finanza, the fiscal supervisory arm of the army.
