Claudia Cuentas is a versatile professional with a background in music, expressive arts, education, and therapy.
Originally from Lima, Peru, Claudia moved to California at 18 to pursue her studies in music and education at Chico State University.
She furthered her education by training at the Tamalpa Institute in Movement and Expressive Arts Therapy and obtained a Masters in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Drama Therapy from the California Institute of Integral Studies.
Additionally, Claudia completed a 3-year Somatic Experiencing training in Portland, Oregon, and continues to study Native Original Healing practices.
With over 7 years of experience as a somatic art practitioner in California, Arizona, Oregon, and Peru, Claudia focuses on cultural diversity and trauma resolution.
Her holistic approach incorporates tracking physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of individuals while supporting their self-healing abilities.
In 2016, Claudia founded the Canta Colibrí Project, utilizing art as a resiliency tool for individual and community well-being.
She conducts workshops on cultural diversity, art for healing, and bilingual storytelling, and released her first music album 'ALMA' in April 2017.
