Chuck Brown
Chuck Brown is a dedicated professional who has spent over a decade working in the nonprofit, social enterprise, and philanthropy sectors in various roles such as fundraiser, consultant, and entrepreneur.
He is passionate about serving others and is committed to promoting the Just Transition framework, which aims to shift from an extractive and inequitable economy to one that is equitable and regenerative.
Chuck holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in East Asian Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a focus on Social Entrepreneurship from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey.
His professional journey includes roles as a Business Instructor & Advisor at Uptima Entrepreneur Cooperative, Founder at Orion Advising, and board memberships at Social Enterprise Alliance and Social Enterprise Alliance/SF Bay Area, among others.
Chuck has contributed his expertise to organizations such as Treasure8, Silicon Valley Community Foundation, OneProsper International, AguaClara LLC, Schaffer&Combs, Kiva.org, and CrowdSource, where he held positions ranging from development officer to managing member/director.
With a diverse background that spans from corporate and foundation grants to field operations and business development, Chuck's experience includes roles as a Research Associate at Globe Center, Field Officer at Organizing for America, and Vice President at Global Business Brigades.
