Christine Mehta
Christine Mehta is an accomplished human rights investigator and talented writer. With a dedication to protecting human rights, she uses her storytelling skills to shed light on the most immediate threats. With an impressive academic resume, Mehta received a B.A. in International Relations and Journalism from Syracuse University and a master's degree in Public Policy from Cornell University. She has held various roles in her professional career, including serving as the Expert Consultant for Human Rights at Equidem Research and Consulting, Regional Economic Development Specialist for Research at Cornell University, Research Assistant Professor in Newspaper and Online Journalism at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, and a Campaigner and Researcher at Amnesty International and Physicians for Human Rights, respectively. She has extensive experience in investigative journalism, having reported on a wide range of human rights and social issues such as racial profiling in the US Rust Belt, torture in Ukraine, and illegal detention in India. In addition to all her other professional accomplishments, Mehta is also a former fellow of both the Carnegie and Knight Foundations, and a former caseworker at the Center for New Americans.
