Christina Welty is an advocate for a comprehensive arts-based education that embraces cultural diversity and community experiences.
Her teaching philosophy focuses on empowering students to share their stories to catalyze positive change in their communities.
She holds a Master of Education (MEd) in Educational Leadership with a specialization in Urban Schools from Southern Methodist University.
Christina completed her Bachelor's Degree in Theatre Studies at The University of Texas at Austin.
With a rich professional background, Christina has served as the PYP Dean at Uplift Education and as the Founder & CEO of The Everyday Series.
Her experience includes roles such as Reading Interventionist, Teacher, and Teaching Artist at various educational institutions.
Christina has also contributed to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusiveness as a Facilitator at Teach For America.
Her journey in education includes teaching positions ranging from 6th Grade Theatre Arts to 10th Grade World Geography.
Apart from her work in education, Christina has also been involved as a Summer Intern at the American Alliance for Theatre and Education and as a Camp Counselor at Pine Cove.
