Dina Mahdy

Dina El Mahdy is an experienced associate professor of accounting at Morgan State University with a strong background in academic research and teaching.

She earned her Ph.D. in Accounting in 2011 from Virginia Commonwealth University and holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Accounting & Finance as well as a B. Com in Accounting & Finance from Cairo University.

Dina El Mahdy has a notable publication record with her work featured in reputable journals such as Accounting and Finance, Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting, and more.

Her teaching experience spans across prestigious institutions including Georgetown University, American University, and Virginia Commonwealth University.

Dina Mahdy is a recipient of competitive summer research grants from the Earl G. Graves School of Business and Management at Morgan State University, demonstrating her commitment to advancing knowledge in the field of accounting.
