Christian Zugel is a seasoned technology executive, best known as the current Chief Information Officer (CIO) of ZAIS Group, a global investment management firm with more than $6 billion worth of assets under its management. With an impressive professional background in information technology, Christian has been instrumental in helping ZAIS Group to leverage technology as a strategic differentiator and optimize its operations' efficiency, agility and reliability. Prior to joining ZAIS Group, Christian worked in several senior IT roles at reputable firms, including senior vice president of technology at TIAA-CREF, as well as CIO and vice president of IT at Arch Reinsurance. Christian is passionate about creating a vibrant technology culture and has an extensive track record of building high-performing teams, cultivating strong relationships with business stakeholders, and driving innovation and digital transformation initiatives at scale.
