Christian Welling

Christian Welling is a software engineer with several years of experience in autonomy, mechanical engineering, and AI development. He holds a Master's degree and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University. During his academic years, he worked in Mark Campbell's lab (ASL) developing a ground model to classify targets, applied his education in SLAM, path planning, sensor fusion, and control systems to various academic projects. Christian also worked as an engineering intern at Tesla, where he worked on Model 3 glove box and convergent vain airvent development. He also worked on the closures team, designing and prototyping structural and external components for the Model 3 roof system. As a consultant, he guided early phase development and concept in hardware and AI for Longevity Health's MedLok products. Currently, Christian is building the software and firmware for cutting-edge COVID testing systems at Fusion-Biotec. He also advises design and concept development for BIB, a startup building the future of refrigerated food delivery.
